Using niacinamide, zinc gluconate, yeast extract, caffeine and biotin to purify and inhibit overactive sweat glands and salicylic acid to clear congested follicles mediBac Oil Control Lotion minimises future breakout activity.
Ultimately wanting to keep you shine-free for longer Dermalogica uses enantia chlorantha bark extract to control over-active oil glands, helping to reduce oily shine on the skin’s surface while the naturally-antiseptic camphor, balm mint and cornflower cool and calm inflammation.

I've used this for a while now and have found that it does stop your skin becoming oily, and does prevent acne break outs. It goes on very smoothly and absorbs fast.

I have extremely oily skin - it's oily even on my cheeks. My forehead, nose and chin is always full of comedones - no skin therapist can get rid of them longer than for 5 days. Surprisingly, I never had acne! But comedones - always! And I am far from being a teenager so you can imagine that salicyl acid is not my favourite cream component... The great thing about this ultra lightweight and super absorbant lotion is that you will never notice that it has salicyl acid in it. It won't dry your skin! It's only there to prevent inflamation in pores. I wouldn't notice it's there if I didn't read the ingredients. This lotion is more like an emulsion - soaks into the skin and there is no trace of it left afterwards. It doesn't mattify (not my skin + there is another product for that purpose) and it doesn't prevent my skin from being oily again in few hours (that's in my case because my skin produces sebum all the time and my goal is the reduction in this production - that is the benefit that can be achieved by using this lotion - I know people who won't "shine" again all day long after using this lotion, but not me). So, why I love it then? The greatest benefit of this cream is that it will never cause oiliness by itself, it won't boost production of even more sebum like other creams because they overdry the skin with salicyl acid. Oil Control Lotion will soothe, moisturize, calm/heal and prevent possible inflamation in pores (I mean not only acne-prone skin, but comedonic skin as well and all other possible inflamations caused by impurities in oily skin). I have been using it already for 3 years (before it even became "MediBac", but was in moisturizers range) and have to admit, that even though in my age I should be using anti-aging creams, I simply can't give up my Oil Control Lotion for any other cream only because no cream can maintain my skin as healthy as this one does. I believe that healthy skin is much more important than wrinkle-free skin, but in horrible condition (pores, I mean). BUT there is a solution! Now with MAP-15 regenerator "powder-to-emultion" any moisturizer can become firming and skin elsasticity improving cream simply by adding this MAP-15 regenerator in it. I guess, I will be using my Oil Control Lotion for at least another 3 years and may be even longer!

I am a little bit disappointed as I was expecting better results. It does stop the shining but unfortunately, not for all day long...

I have used this lotion for over a year and I'm super happy with it, it really keeps its promises! Used to have oily skin and occasional breakouts especially on my forehead. Not anymore!
