If you've got greasy or combination skin, then don't expect miracles. At age 34, I've learnt that nothing is going to stop that shine getting through eventually. But look on the good side - you'll have less wrinkles later in life. I use oil control lotion in the T-zone, and it seems to reduce or delay shine, without causing spots. It doesn't "disguise" any open pores as other products claim to do, but it doesn't block pores either. I've learnt not to expect any product to solve all my oily / combination skin problems, but this really helps to keep my make-up looking good through the day.

I use this in conjunction with the dermal clay cleanser/multi active toner and I must say, my skin has NEVER been so good. Keeps me shine free for about 5 hours which in my case, IS a miracle!. BUY IT!.

Using this product means I don't have to wear lots of foundation & powder to keep the oiliness under control, so my skin can breathe. It soaks in quickly and the effect lasts for hours. I highly recommend it.

i've tried several of these "mattifying" products- most of which cause me to break out badly. this lotion gave very minimal help when it came to the daily shine, but it did assist my skin in clearing itself of minor blemishes. when i applied it to my skin, it didn't really leave a matt finish as promised. my skin looked pretty much the same as before, which is the biggest disappointment in this product.

Expected great results from this product but it did not live up to the dermalogica reputation. I have combination skin which is not overly oily. However this product did not reduce shine over a short period of time let alone throughout the day. . Would not buy again
