This Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara is a fabulous mascara, however I have only given it 4 stars not the 5 stars as you do have to be careful when applying it as it can clump the eyelashes together. It may be my technique as sometimes I get it just right and my lashes look amazing! Stays in place all day and removes easily with Liz Earle cleanse and polish.

Overhyped and overpriced

I am a huge fan of Benefit products and have been for many years. Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara - Black was a recommendation from a friend. Sadly, I am not a huge fan. I don't think the effect is any better than other mascaras. I haven't had any compliments or remarks that I've changed mascara. The only obvious thing I've noticed is that it regularly smudges which is really annoying as I end up having to rub off mascara marks. Not an attractive look.

They're Real is Really Good

I've just tried this mascara for the first time and I can't recommend it enough. I put it on this morning, and my eyelashes are noticeably longer and thicker. I started to put on a second coat and it started to get a bit clumpy so I decided not to bother as they looked good enough with the one. At the end of the day they look as good as they did this morning, with no panda eyes or flaking. I've yet to try to remove it as it's not bedtime just yet, and I understand this is a bit of a problem but am sure it's worth it and hey, if it doesn't remove easily then it will just save time in the morning.

Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara - Black

I purchased the Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara - Black when it was first released, It is a fab mascara, really lengthens, and the brush applicator is great too! I recommend!

Fab Mascara

This mascara is really as good as it advertises, it lenghtens and curls your eyelashes. I will definitely be ordering this again. It is a bit pricey in my opinion but worth it!

Still found myself using two mascaras

I heard and read a lot of reviews about this mascara as I was reluctant to spend the money but decided to give it a go. I currently use Rimmel's Scandel Eyes mascara, I like it because it has a big, soft bristle brush and I don't normally buy the plastic hard brush mascaras. But found that it went clumpy after a while and didn't last the day, all of the things the Benefit one said it didn't do. After initially opening it I found it had a hard bristle brush which made me think it wasn't going to work and it didn't. After using it I found that it didn't give me the coverage and boost and the base of my lashes but was perfect for separating and defining them. Hence now I am using both mascaras, the Rimmel one to boost the base of them and the Benefit one to lengthen, separate, etc. Overall I am glad i gave it a go but disappointed that I had to spend the money to find out.

Great mascara

Had a free make over from Benefits in Debenhams Bristol & liked the effect of the mascara I bought it - really pleased with the results I get think the brush end is brill for seperating lashes and especially for tiny lashes at corne of eyes. Only negative is I can"t take it off very easily and I end up with panda eyes! I have used make up remover pads and gel but still get black smudg eyes.

Good but not perfect

The mascara does make your lashes longer and gives a volume but it also dries out very quickly. However, I this is the third They're real that I have bought so it means I really enjoy the effect it gives to my eye lashes. Would recommend if you don't mind buying a new one in 1-1,5 month time!

I have tried many different mascaras and nothing comes close to Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara - Black! I love long, curly lashes, and this definitely does not disappoint me. It's a much-needed necessity in my make up bag, and I would definitely recommend this product.

Thick, long lashes

I have used Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara for a few years now and I love it.

Best mascara around, I used lancome hypnose for years but since discovering this i will never go back. Definitely recommend, it stays on the whole day, it looks the same when i take it off at night and I never need to reapply. The only negative is i use it so much it runs out so quickly.

I was very hesitant to buy this product as I did not know this brand and frankly graphics on benefit products looks a bit childish to me. I was also hesitant as I usually use dior (my fav!), ysl, estee lauder, etc mascaras therefore quite expensive brands with a result guaranteed. Nevertheless, I got it and I love it to bits! It's the best that I've ever had! It has very nice black, deep color, makes your lashed long and thick and eyes look amazing! After all day long mascara looks the same as in the morning. It doesn't melt, crumble or leave black small dots around eyes. It's a very, very good product. I can highly recommend it!

Brilliant!

The best mascara I have ever tried! And I have tried plenty of good ones. This one, however, not only curls your lashes, separates them perfectly but also has enough black colour after only one application. And is has a special round end on the wand which allows you to reach difficult places like the corners. A must have mascara!

I have tried many different mascaras and nothing comes close to this! I aim for long curly lashes and this definitely does not disappoint. A much needed necessity in my make up bag

This Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara is fantastic, no clumps even after a couple of coat lengthens, separates, and curls. It does not flake on to cheeks and eyelashes are left flexible. This would definitely be my go to all round mascara, you won't be disappointed.

A good mascara but can get a little clumpy after the first coat. However i would recommend it, it just needs some practice to get it on without it becoming too thick.

Stays in place

This Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara stays put for the day and there is no need to reapply.

Better than falsies

I just love this Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara. It gives me curly long well-defined lashes without clumping. It's not that easy to remove however but the advantages outweigh this problem!

Bought this one for the fourth time in a row recently. Still love it very much. My lashes actually do look thicker and longer. Only thing is that it dries out a bit too fast for my liking.

Great mascara

I love this mascara, it really makes your eye lashes stand out and doesn't leave any clumps! I would definitely recommend it, the only problem is I find I have to use quite a few coats to make them really stand out, but I will be repurchasing it in the future!

soo dissapointed:(

I have pretty long and nice eyelashes so I was looking for a mascara that would provide length, volume, and separate my lashes for a celebrity finish. I used Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara - Black but once I tried it on it was so watery it dropped and clumped my lashes. I tried so hard to separate my lashes but they turned into a mess even after I tried curling them. The mascara was so wet I saw some of my lashes come off too! I wouldn't recommend.

Real Mascara

I was recommended Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara by a friend and I have now used it three times. It seems the best I have used. It is a great mascara.

The Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara is absolutely fantastic. It finds lashes I didn't know I had! At my age I need all the lashes I can get and this mascara makes me look like my lashes are long and beautiful again.

Amazing!!

Brilliant mascara, emphasises lashes you didn't even know you had . Is clump free, quicker easier and not as tacky looking as fake lashes! Highly recommend.

Just Great

It's really good, my only issue is that the thickness it promises is very exaggerated, apart from that, it doesn't clump my lashes at all and the length it gives is fantastic. Definitely worth a try.

My 'going out' mascara

I only use this Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara when I'm going out somewhere in the evening, it makes my eyelashes look fake, especially when I've curled them before. It's amazing, I really love it and because I don't wear it everyday, I really notice the difference when I do wear it. It doesn't flake at all either like some other mascaras do, it's amazing!

Really pleased with my purchase of this Benefit They'Re Real! Mascara, the wand lifts and separates the lashes in a way other mascaras do not. There is no 'clumping' of eyelashes when using this product and my eyelashes look lovely and full.
