With all the daffodils coming to life and the pretty pink blossoms starting to show on the tree, we are starting to obsess over pastel makeup for Spring. With sheer washes of colour on eyelids and pretty, feminine manicures, it is a gorgeous makeup look.

Our Top Pastel Makeup Picks

With all the pastel colours from soft pinks to baby blues, here is our selection of the best pastel makeup for every part of your beauty routine.

For the Face

Whilst those palettes with shades of pale yellow and green can look terrifying, they actually help give you a flawless finish and even skin tone. For example, yellow tones counteract purple shadows whilst greens combat redness.

The RMK Pressed Powder in No 3 brightens and corrects with just a sweep of a brush and if you suffer from redness then the PUR Colour Correcting Primer in Green is perfect for you. Once applied to the skin, the pastel shades look perfectly natural for flawless skin.

For the Cheeks

Highlighters and blushes in shades of palest pink and soft peach are just perfect for Spring.

Benefit High Beam is a makeup bag staple with its pearly sheen. Just dot and blend onto the cheekbones, cupid's bow and brow bone for a natural glow. In terms of blush, the Shiseido Face Colour Enhancing Trio in 'Lychee' gives a gorgeous peachy flush that will brighten the whole complexion.

For the Lips

No one loves chalky pastels on the lips but you can give a little nod to the trend by choosing a peachy nude shade. Nude lips are everywhere right now and a soft neutral is the perfect lip colour to take you into Spring.

Try the Rimmel Kate Nudes range to find the shade that suits you best. If you'd rather stick to a little bit of sheen, then you need to try the brand new Lancôme Juicy Shaker Lip Gloss in the limited edition shade 'Mint To Be'. Don't be scared by the pastel blue shade- it actually comes out as a gorgeous clear shade with just enough blue to make your teeth look whiter and brighter!

For the Eyes

There are so many beautiful eyeshadow palettes and quads in pastel shades. Pale blues and greens can be a little intimidating so if you're just moving into the world of pastel eyeshadows then these two are our top choices.

The Estée Lauder Pure Color Instant Intense Eye Shadow Trio in 'Steel Lilacs' is a lovely alternative to a smokey eye. The soft lilac brightens and highlights whilst the darker purple defines. For a pretty pink look, we love the L'Oréal Paris Color Riche La Palette Eyeshadow Palette in 'Nude Rose'. It is a gorgeous, subtle way to wear a little colour on the eyes.

For the Nails

The nails are where you can really have fun. Any colour goes for manicures, as our Easter Nail tutorial shows!

For the ultimate pastel manicure, invest in the Deborah Lippman 'Sweets for My Sweet' Set, which includes a rainbow of 6 pastel shades. With her creamy formulas you'll get an even, opaque finish in a couple of coats. For a more everyday option, the shade 'Green Dragon' from the Rimmel Salon Pro Kate Nail Polish range is the most beautiful minty spring green.

Major fan of scented candles, Make Up brushes and Highlighter. I’m always on the hunt for those Holy Grail products and my dressing table is covered in more beauty products than I like to admit. As an adopted Northerner originally from Brighton, I spend most my days wondering what all this rain is about. My hair isn’t grateful for the move. Currently loving: NIOD Photography Fluid
