In the summer months, there is no other activity more British than the classic English Afternoon Tea. Piled high with scones, cakes, jams and creams, and not forgetting endless pots of tea, it makes for a lovely afternoon with your girlfriends, mum or nana.

There are many places across the country that serve an excellent English Afternoon Tea, with some offering twists on the classic style. We have selected our top 5 favourites, which we believe offer the very best.

Where Is The Perfect English Afternoon Tea?

There are many places up and down the country that serve the most beautiful afternoon tea, but we have chosen some of our favourite classic and quirky places which just take the biscuit...

Best For Fun: St. James Court, London

This beautiful and opulent hotel serves a range of Afternoon Teas, but our favourite has to be the Alice in Wonderland theme, which is prepared by their talented Pastry Chef, Nikhil Vyas. The menu features storybook themed treats, which just makes for the most wonderfully delicious afternoon.
