Beauty Secrets : The Iluminage Pillow

Hi all, my name is Laura and I blog over at ‘A Life With Frills’, a fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog.

When Lookfantastic asked me if I wanted to review the Illuminage Skin Rejuvenating Pillowcase on their blog, I couldn’t refuse. A £50 pillowcase intrigued me as it is never an amount that I would have considered spending on one before.

Iluminage

Illuminage is a Pond’s Institute brand. They are leading skincare research pioneers. Their Skin Rejuvenating Pillowcase is 100% Cupron® Copper Oxide Polyester that feels as soft and luxurious as silk. The fibres in the material have been infused with Copper Oxide, a wrinkle-fighting mineral. When it comes in contact with your skin, Copper ions work in the moisture space between the fabric and your skin to stimulate cell renewal. Basically, this pillowcase works at reducing the appearance of aging, fine lines and wrinkles over time, while you do nothing but sleep.

Taking away any of its beauty benefits, I love the fact that it is so comfortable to lie on and that it’s machine washable. Add in its skin-benefiting properties, and it’s a pretty amazing and unique product. Clinical trials have backed up Illuminage’s claims about its efficiency too. Now, I don’t have wrinkles, so I can’t tell you whether it reduces them or not; but what it does do is greatly limit those horrible sleep lines and indentations we all wake up with from normal bedding. That in itself helps to keep skin line-free.

If you are someone who spends a lot of money on facial skincare to try to get younger looking skin, can you really afford not to try this product? It might just be the saviour you need.
