Find out all about what we’re doing to celebrate Lookfantastic’s 17th Birthday!
I think it’s safe to say that the Tangle Teezer is a gift sent from Heaven. It doesn’t matter if my hair looks like it’s been dragged through a hedge backwards – the soft yet sturdy bristles will glide effortlessly through my hair and tame any wild tangles with ease.
I’m guaranteed irresistibly lustrous and sleek styles every time I use these astonishing straighteners, whether I’m attempting soft waves, elegant curls or everyday straight locks. I know I’m going to have a good hair day when I use my GHD Styler.
I can place my trust in my beloved spray that my hair will be able to withstand the damaging effects of heat styling. A couple of spritzes and I’m ready to take on a week in the Sahara, let alone a pair of straighteners.
This is hands down my favourite make up product I have ever had the luck of discovering. It takes me a few mere seconds to achieve the fullest, curliest eyelashes that wouldn’t dream of smudging or fading away. Benefit’s legendary mascara needs to be in every girl’s makeup bag.
There are some days when I just want my make up to want to look a little more intense; a little more glamorous. Those are the days when I use Lord&Berry’s Ink Glam Liquid Eyeliner for the glossiest, blackest, boldest cat eye for miles around.
I don’t know what women did before Real Techniques brought these incredible brushes into the make up world. The Core Collection encompasses what every girl needs to create an effortless, flawless, even make up look. No scratchy bristles or streaky foundation over here!
Whether I am endeavouring an all – out Kim Kardashian contour look or just a light dusting, my Bourjois bronzer is my wonderful, willing accomplice. The powder is pigmented enough to define the hollows of my cheeks, but is natural enough to prevent me from looking like I’ve dipped my face in a vat of orange paint.
I’ll admit it – there are some days when I just can’t bring myself to face the daunting task of filling and perfecting my eyebrows. Thankfully, Rimmel’s eyebrow gel has my back. The formula clings to even the finest hairs on my eyebrows to give me defined brows in a matter of moments.
Ah, Benefit, you just can’t get it wrong, can you? Their range of fantastic hydrating tinted lip balms give my lips a gorgeous yet subtle wash of colour, while feeling cool and moisturising at the same time. Thank you, Benefit.
BareMinerals seem to have a knack of supplying the makeup – loving community with beautiful, high quality products that give a natural finish. I simply love how this cream conceals my imperfections flawlessly despite only using the bare minimum on my skin, which help keep feelings of stickiness and ‘cake-i-ness’ at bay.
There are ‘au naturel makeup’ days and there are ‘all out makeup’ days. When an ‘all out makeup’ day rolls around, Bourjois’ Velvet Lipstick is a product I will automatically reach for. The formula is a stunningly rich, smooth consistency and offers a beautiful matte lip with incredible pigmentation and resilience.
Whenever I fancy indulging myself with a ‘home spa night’ (which is quite often), there is one product I turn to without a second thought. The fragrance of Elemis’ Bath and Shower cream is to die for, and it leaves my skin ravishingly soft and supple without a hint of tackiness.
There’s nothing nicer than having succulently soft hands, is there? The L’occitane Lavender Hand Cream is my Holy Grail of hand creams. The scent is delicate and succulent and the formula chases away dry, tight skin and leaves my hands velvety and soft.
As a fan of tousled, disarrayed hairstyles, I knew the Toni & Guy Casual Rough Texturiser would be a good buy. And I was right. The nicely perfumed spray thickens and transforms my unattractive bedhead into cutely chaotic and unkempt locks.
For me, this is just another life-saving product from Rimmel. They have saved me and countless others time and effort by not having to apply multiple eyeshadows to achieve the perfect smoky eye. I simply sketch a few lines around my eye and blend the lines out – et voilà!
False eyelashes are a bit of a faff, let’s admit it. So when Estée Lauder produced a mascara that makes my eyelashes appear as lush, voluptuous and thick as falsies make them look, I’m not sure why anyone would bother with them again.
It’s an oldie but a goodie! Rimmel has once again outdone the premium brands and created a powder that offers subtle yet effortless coverage, a matte make up look and conceals my shiny nose for the rest of the day perfectly.
