Halloween Make-Up and Beauty with Look Fantastic
With Halloween just around the corner, now is the perfect time to get some inspiration for different make-up and beauty looks! Here at Look Fantastic Beauty HQ, we love all things Disney so thought we would do some great looks on Disney Villains for perfect Halloween make-up! We have chosen 3 key looks from Disney’s most evil queens for you to recreate at home so that you have your scariest yet most beautiful Halloween yet!
Queen Grimhilde (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
These nails are perfect for Halloween! With a deep burgundy and black matte finish, they are the ultimate in scary chic! The key to achieving the ombré look for these nails lies in the preparation of both your nails and the polish to make sure you have healthy nails and smooth polish so that it goes on evenly!
Prepare your nails by soaking them to get rid of any existing polish and build-up, shaping them; making sure to push back your cuticles.
Apply a base coat and colour to the nails to protect them from future colour and make sure you have an even surface to apply the polish. We have fallen in love withNailkale Superfood Base Coat by Nails Inc. for this step! Enriched with vitamins A, C, E, F and H, the base coat gives you perfect protection and helps strengthen your nails to make them their healthiest yet!
Pour a small amount of the colours you need on a paper plate immediately next to each other. For this look, we recommend Miss Independent by Deborah Lippmann and Alexa Fabric Effects in Leather by Nails Inc.
Where the 2 edges of the colours touch, use a toothpick to blend together a large amount of the polish; leaving a proportion of the 2 colours separate too.
Using a make-up sponge, dab the mix of the polishes onto your nail to achieve the desired effect.

Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty)
This look is perfect for a special party or for going out, as the defined eye make-up makes it the perfect addition to any Halloween outfit! (We love it paired with a Maleficent costume though!)
Start with a base colour which helps to hold additional colours in place. The RMK Gold Impressions Eye shadow is the perfect palette to begin with as the base colour works brilliantly; with green colour which you can use later in the look!
Apply eyeliner following the cat eye template; extending it above the eyelid line and down into the corner of your eye.
Using Nars Cosmetics Duo Eye shadow in Jolie Poupee, take the lighter shadow and apply all over the lids; making sure to extend into the corner of the eye. In the corners of the eyeliner and on the top half of the eyelid, apply the darker colour; making sure to carefully blend.
With the RMK palette, and using an eyeliner brush, take the green colour and build up underneath the eye. Make sure to build-up the colour rather than apply a heavy amount at once, which means you’ll make less mistakes!
Finish with a good coat of mascara for the ultimate va-va-voom!
Mother Gothel (Tangled)
This is one of the beauty team’s favourite Disney films, so we had to include a character in our Halloween make-up ideas! The deep berry lip is perfect for Halloween and the added sparkle makes it great if you are heading to a Halloween party!
Prime your lips by scrubbing them and putting a light layer of lip balm on to remove any dryness – do this about 15/20 minutes before applying your lipstick so that it has time to sink in and really hydrate your lips. We love the Weleda Everon Lip Balm to help soothe the lips and leave them feeling soft, smooth and super kissable!
Line your lips using a colour which most matches your natural lip shade to make sure the look looks as seamless and flawless as possible.
Bareminerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Lead the Way is the perfect colour for this look! With its deep purple shade, it’s also a great colour for autumn and winter!
