Just because we're inside doesn't mean that you should neglect you feet! Here's a few tips to keep in mind for a perfect at-home pedicure!

Sun Protection is for Your Feet Too

If you think that you don't ever have to worry about that hard-working couple holding you up all day, it's time to shift your thinking a little bit. Let us ask you a question. Do your feet burn when you step out onto the hot sidewalk? If your answer to the previous inquiry is yes, then you may want to start giving your feet a tad more TLC.

To keep your feet healthy and happy you need to give those beauties regular care, including SPF! When applying sunscreen don't just stop at the ankle! Generously spread the protection on your feet. Use an SPF of at least SPF 30 like JASON Mineral Sunblock SPF 30 and make sure to reapply after every two hours of sun exposure.

Short and Sweet

A critical component to having healthy and clean feet is keeping those nails trimmed and kept. Keeping your nails short and trimmed not only helps your feet look clean, but also prevents you from contracting a fungal infection or getting an ingrown toenail!

A Pedicure for Pretty Feet

A fabulous-looking pedicure isn't just about the nails, it's all about the feet too! In the hot summer heat, the soles of your feet may tend to dry out or harden (we know you're enjoying those barefoot walks outside) so keep them soft by exfoliating those dead skin cells away.

To soften up the skin on the surface, soak your feet in a bath of warm water and baking soda to help scrub and renew your feet. Use a pumice stone to exfoliate those top layers of dead skin cells. Follow it up with a nourishing body lotion or foot cream like Caudalie Foot Beauty Cream infused with grapeseed oil and shea butter to lock in that added hydration.

Give that Nail Polish a Rest

While it may be tempting to keep a bright-colored pedicure on at all times, this can actually be detrimental to the health of your nail long-term. Take a break from those colorful pedicures every once in a while to help you avoid discoloration of the nail that can happen from keeping dark-hued nail lacquer on for too long.

If you're spending any time outside this summer, these are some easy-to-follow tips that can help you enjoy the summer sun from head to toe without the regret!
