The world of beauty has changed so much over the last decade. No longer is it all about magazines and advertising dictating which products and brands are the ones we need to love; bloggers have changed the game.
Blogging and the Beauty Industry
With the rise of influencers, we are seeing ordinary people with a real passion for beauty having a voice. This is something we really believe in; we love finding out about the products and brands that our customers and readers swear by.
Over the last year, we've been looking out for some of the best voices in the online beauty industry and building relationships with some of the game changers as part of our ambassador programme; people like Lydia Elise Millen, Patricia Bright and Louise Thompson.
They are all incredible women and all have amazing insight into, knowledge about and passion for the world of beauty. We've already learnt so much from them and we know that they are women you turn to for advice and inspiration as well.
In 2017, we want to keep finding inspirational people that can help us build a lookfantastic community full of beauty lovers sharing their passion.
Imogen's Story
Sometimes chance encounters can lead to incredible things. With Imogen, that is exactly what has happened.
Recently, if you have subscribed to the lookfantastic YouTube channel or following our social media channels, then you will already have seen Imogen Hudson around.
Imogen is a blogger, soon-to-be Youtuber and one of our newest lookfantastic ambassadors.
We first crossed paths with Imogen at the start of 2016 when she came to one of our events. Our marketing and PR teams are always around at our events and it is always amazing getting to chat with everyone. On that night, Imogen instantly stood out with her enthusiasm and friendliness.
She kept in touch, continued to give us some incredible support and so when we had a big campaign to shoot, she came immediately to mind. She worked on our Beauty Secret launch and continued to be amazing to work with.
So, what started off as a one-off occasion ended up in us signing up Imogen as one of our ambassadors. Now she works with us every month on campaigns and events like facebook live videos, helping to present and talk about all things beauty.
However, we know that chances like Imogen's don't always come easily; brands like to work with big names and sometimes it can feel like you already need to have made it in order to be able to take things further.
What if you aren't going to events? What if you haven't been contacted by a PR? This is what we want to change.
