How to apply Bronzer
Choose your perfect colour.
Rich, warm tones look amazing on darker skin whilst paler, cooler tones are perfect for adding colour to fair skin. Caudalie Teint Divin and Clinique True Bronze are great warm colours whilst the Maybelline Master Sculpt and Pixi Quick Fix Bronzer are gorgeous cooler tones.
Try not to use the same brush for bronzing as you do for applying blusher. Keeping a separate brush for each product can help prevent an uneven and potentially muddy application.
Always apply Bronzer in the shape of a number 3.
To give the perfect definition to your face, it is best to visualise the shape of 3 when bronzing. Start off at the temple, going to the cheekbones and then under the jawline. This is where the sun naturally hits your face and focusing on these areas will give you that lovely glow.
Add a touch of Bronzer to your nose.
This is where Bronzer can feel a little scary. For a sunkissed look (perfect for those months where you are already slightly tanned) apply a little more Bronzer to your brush and gently dust over the bridge of your nose. For other months you can use Bronzer in a contour effect by sweeping your brush down either side of your nose to slim it down. Just be sure to knock off the extra Bronzer from your brush to avoid a heavy application.
Add definition to your face with Bronzer along the jaw and hairline.
To avoid an uneven application, it’s best to remove any excess product from your brush before sweeping your Bronzer across your hairline. Start from the centre of your hairline and move out towards your temples. To soften any harsh lines between your face and neck, finish by sweeping under your ear and sweep towards your chin.
