Steal Her Style - Jul 08

It is safe to say that she’s the yummiest thing to have stepped out of the valley for a while though she looks more like she’s stepped out of a 60’s Motown collective. Bringing the blonde beehive and heavy eye make-up back onto our fashion radars & with a soul-infused voice that has us all begging for mercy, Duffy is a style leader we all want to follow! Want to see how? |
Start by lightly dusting your eyelids with the lightest shade in this Too Faced Candy Bar in Park Avenue Praline Eye Shadow Set. Then sweep the second lightest shade from the lash line to the brow bone. Now with the darkest shade apply in the corners of your lids and blend below the crease.
We’re going for full on false-looking eyelashes here. To get those uber eyelashes like Duffy, open eyes wide and insert lashes in the centre of the Tweezerman Deluxe Metal Eyelash Curlers. With the curlers positioned at the base of the lash line, squeeze handles together gently but firmly and hold for a few seconds.

Duffy works preened-to-perfection here. Tousled, falling loose ringlets + a hint of root volume it’s got that 60’s edge. ghd's are the perfect tool to achieve this look. Straighten your hair, then twist 2 inch sections of hair around your ghd’s, stopping half way up your head. Hold for 10 seconds & let your curls fall into place.
For a bit of root lift use this Vogueti Volumising Brush to backcomb 1 inch sections of hair from the crown of your head, then smoothing over for a polished finish. This will give your style a real 60’s siren look!
New from Kerastase’s Reflection range, this is just what you need for highlighted blonde hair like Duffy’s. It highlights your blonde tones, leaving it with a beautiful mirror-like finish.
Use this Susan Posnick Colorflo Bronzer for a sheer cover mineral make-up base by gently sweeping over your face. Apply in a circular motion on your cheeks.
