Fine hair has a low natural stiffness, which means it has a tendency to fall flat and hold itself close to your scalp – thereby looking lank and limp.
There are 3 factors that influence volume – diameter of the hair strand, the density of your hair (i.e. how much hair you have) and the stiffness of your hair.
Kerastase Volumactive Mousse can’t give you more hair, but it will plump up your hair (increase the diameter of each strand), and increase the natural stiffness of your hair, thereby giving it more volume and body.

This product is very good, don't get me wrong, it is not sticky, is quite strong so you don't have to use much and gives you day and night long hold. My fine hair is fully pumped up to get great "umph" factor where it needs it most. But for me, if I use it every time I wash my hair after about the third time using I do tend to get a dandruff effect, and it does tend to darken at the roots. Now I use it for evenings out and don't have to worry about dashing to the mirror to check out if my locks have limped!

I love Kerastase products, but this one is not my favourite. It leaves my hair very sticky and heavy.

This product will definitely give your hair a lift and you only need little amount. However, as it is a bit sticky, you need to blow dry your hair and definitely just use a little amount. Great for those going out nights!

ive been using this mousse and it is superb in giving volume for my hair, the only thing is, it looses my hair shine.i dont suggest it for everyday use.

This really does makes your hair more volumised, I would recommend using a blowdryer for extra effect. However, it makes your hair less shiny and soft, and darkens your hair a bit.
