i recently purchased this new formula although i still have the original, cant say there is much difference between them except it does make your hair very soft, i got the travel sizes also and must say i preferred the new heavy cream to old so that will be worth buying, but i dont think it makes hair any less frizzy and it doesnt aid repair like most, i still preferr tigi and joico although joico kpak is high in protien which can actually make hair more brittle.. if you are an all soft fan then yes do buy and yes the smell is better, i give it a 4 as it is not a bad product but just not my first choice, with the silk amino acids in it ithought would be worth trying ..anyway dont take my word for it try it your self

It started out well. My hair felt really soft after the first, second, third wash... but suddenly it became dry and brittle. And then my scalp started to itch and get really irritated. Granted, the All Soft shampoo I've tried wasn't Redken's so called "new" and improved version, but the one I tried didn't exactly leave me wanting to try an upgrade.

This did nothing for my dry, brittle hair. This would best suit normal or slightly dry hair.

I think these reviews show that you can't take a 'on-size-fits-all' approach with shampoo and conditioner. I absolutely love this stuff. It turns my over highlighed, long locks into soft and shiny 'princess' hair! I use it in conjunction with All Soft Heavy Cream but even when using other salon brands (Kerastase Vita Ciment, most recently) I don't get as good results are when using All Soft Shampoo.

This and the conditioner weighs my fine hair down, and i dont like the banana-mix smell. Impossible to style after using this
