Dracula skin therapy? We'd rather stick to Clarins!

With True Blood and Twilight such big news at the moment, the world has gone crazy for all things vampire.

However, what we didn't expect was for this to translate into skincare. According to reports in this morning's Daily Mail, a new kind of anti-ageing treatment has crept into the UK from France - and it's slightly scary!

Introduced over here by French doctor Daniel Sister, Simulated Self Serum Skin Therapy (SS3 for short) involves having vials of your own blood collected and then separated.

After vitamins and skin-enriching extras are added, it is then injected back into the face. Apparently, this has all kinds of benefits, including the ability to fill in wrinkles and make winter-worn skin look visibly younger.

While it might be better than having manufactured potions needled into your skin, we can't help but think this sounds like an extremely painful way of achieving a glowing complexion!

Call us wimps if you like, but we'd rather stick to our little pots of Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch here at lookfantastic HQ. Its micro-pearl formula rubbed gently onto the skin sounds much more appealing than turning semi-vampire in the name of beauty.

What do you think?

At lookfantastic we have everything you need for beautiful, healthy skin, so why not indulge in some cult favourites from brands including Clarins, Dermalogica, Elizabeth Arden, Decleor and Korres. Skincare has never been easier.
