Not what people expect

Read this is you want to read someone who tried 4 Redken shampoos and has lots of scalp problems: I love Redken, but when I bought this shampoo I thought the promised ''scalp relief'' was about scalp problems, like itchy scalp, red scalp etc, but it's not. Scalp relief means relief from oily scalp. This shampoo absorbs the extra oil and nothing more. It's all it says in the bottle and I bought it because of the reviews on this site (people really don't know what they say). I went back to Redken go clean, which is a much better shampoo. I will never use it again. I tried for 1 week and it does nothing besides making the hair heavier. 1 star is only because of the name of the product, that made me buy this when it does nothing for the scalp. It should be named oil relief. Even if I have oily hair, Redken go clean is much much better than this.

Redken Scalp Relief Soothing Balance Shampoo (300ml is an excellent shampoo. I have an extraordinarily dry scalp, but by using this shampoo two times a week I am totally free of itching.

I've been using this Redken Scalp Relief Soothing Balance Shampoo product for a few weeks and can safely say that this is my new favourite shampoo. It smells refreshing and medical in a nice way, cleans well without being too harsh or leaving residue, and my scalp no longer burns as often.

Redken Scalp Relief

I can highly recommend this shampoo for people with a sensitive scalp. I have tried numerous alternatives for my daugther, but this is the only one which calms her scalp and stops the itching. It also leaves the hair clean, shiny and healthy looking. Great product!

Redken shampoo

I have only used Redken Scalp Relief Soothing Balance Shampoo (300ml) once, but that is enough to tell me if it's going to work for me or not, and it looks as though I chose well. I know what a good make Redken is, and how they balance the Ph etc. So far, so good. Thanks.

This leaves my hair lovely and clean and soft, without irritating the skin on my body or face like other shampoos. Has a nice fresh scent as well.

Ive been using Redken Scalp Relief Soothing Balance Shampoo now for about a week. I still have quite dry scalp and I find it's quite a drying shampoo. I've used many Redken shampoos and this is not as nice as the real control or blonde glam. I'm not sure as yet if it does what it says it does. My scalp feels no different but I'll persevere.

Wonderful relief

This product is nothing short of amazing. Not only does it have all the excellent qualities normally associated with this outstanding brand, Redken have ensured that this product too is outstanding amongst all other scalp relief shampoos. I've noticed a huge difference in the sensation of my scalp and my hair is still wonderfully soft. Also this product is gentle enough to use every day if I wanted to. What a great product!

At a stressful time in my life, my scalp really suffered. It became sore, started bleeding and then came the hair loss. The front of my hair became thinner and thinner until i had a bald patch. My hairdresser recommended this shampoo to help. I gave it a go and straight away it eased the pain, after 2 weeks my scalp was back to normal and healthy. Unfortunately my hair never grew back completely but it's definitely thicker when i use this product. I will use forever as other shampoo's do distress my scalp still. It doesn't lather as much as others, but still cleans just as well as any other redken shampoo.

My hairdresser recommended this product a couple of years ago when my hair seemed particularly thin and my scalp quite tender(it came under a different name then) and I have been using it ever since...It smells nice, requires only a small amount and although it doesn't lather up very much it is really effective - less sensitive scalp and surprisingly thicker hair! :-)

Not used before but will be using again

I have had an irritated scalp for quite a while and no product could shift it but I have just started to use this and I have seen result straight away. Not only has it cured my scalp but also moisturised my dry hair
