Hey there! So a week has passed since I first began trying out the Jurlique Calendula Cream in a bid to calm my sensitive skin. Here’s how I got on:
I applied the Calendula cream for the first time just after my evening shower. It felt smooth and smelt lovely but I noticed no dramatic effect.
My reflection from the mirror in the morning wowed me. I realised that the night before I was probably still red faced from a hot shower! The morning of day two my skin was much calmer than it usually was.
After the comments from my colleagues on day 2, about my skin not looking so ‘angry!’ I was pleased that it wasn’t just my imagination and this cream really does work! By now my skin felt less bumpy and was much more comfortable.
I realised that I hadn’t been wanting to apply more moisturiser throughout the day. Just the one application in the morning and one in the evening was enough for me.
Day 5 and 6
Over the weekend I was away from home, where the change to harder water did impact my skin. I think I could have benefited from using the Jurlique Soothing Foaming Cleanser before applying the Calendula Cream for additional calming benefits.
By Day 7
I still had enough Calendula Cream in my 3ml sample for another application! A little goes a long way.
My skin was definitely calmer after using the Calendula cream, it’s much more comfortable and the bumpiness is almost gone, it’s much smoother! All in all, I was very impressed with the calming benefits of the Calendula Cream and will be continuing to use it to see the full effects after 6-8 weeks and will aim to introduce some of the other Jurlique products into my regime. I’d definitely recommend it to others like me, who feel nervous about putting any new products onto their skin. However if you have severe skin concerns please consult your dermatologist.
