Pink Beauty for Breast Cancer
Here at Look Fantastic Beauty HQ this week, we are dedicating our blog to Breast Cancer Awareness in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month this October. Look Fantastic are extremely proud to support Look Good Feel Better, a brand dedicated to helping women undergoing chemotherapy treatment; helping them cope with the disease by making them look and feel fantastic! There are also various other brands across our site which donate to Breast Cancer charities, helping to make a difference to the many women affected by this horrible disease; these include Elemis, Bourjois and Deborah Lippmann, as outlined below.
2015 Statistics and Facts
Each year, close to 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer across the UK – this is the equivalent of one person every 10 minutes.In their lifetime, it is estimated that 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer.Women are not solely affected by breast cancer; men can also develop the disease with approximately 400 diagnosed every year.More than 8 out of 10 people survive breast cancer beyond 5 years – let’s help make this figure higher by supporting the Breast Cancer Care charity (learn more about the charity here), and supporting brands who donate to the charity such as Look Good Feel Better, Elemis and Bourjois.Pink Products
