More shimmery than expected
I know it's marketed as "illuminating" but it's much more shimmery than I thought it would be, not necessarily a bad thing if you have really good skin but if you have any skin texture unfortunately this does highlight it. However as others have pointed out, you can use the individual shades on your eyes, so for me to repurpose it I'm using it as an eye palette as opposed to a face compact.

Love it
Although expensive I’m delighted with my purchase . I have wanted to try this product for a while and decided to treat myself in lockdown . Having dithered I bought buff . I’ve got med tan skin tone blue eyes and brown/ red hair and oily combination skin. I didn’t want a tanning product but something I could use all seasons as a finishing power the shade is just perfect fir that. There is a flattering subtle shimmer ( I’m a mature lady so no glitter) and no sitting in any fine lines. The compact is beautiful and a perfect size to pop in your handbag it includes a mirror , always a bonus . Great product and worth the expensive I feel .

Bit like a subtle bronzer
I have started using this instead of face powder to finish post foundation and it really does give a nice fresh look whilst mattifying my T zone. I have been putting it all over my face and it is a bit like a subtle bronzer. I like it and would recommend. It is not glittery if you are worried about that.
