Does the job

Skin feels very soft after using this primer. I prefer a primer which makes me glow as this one doesn’t, so I have moved into another product but I use this for nights out occasionally to improve longevity.

Smooth skin

This primer is great under makeup to smooth skin and fill pores but is equally as good on its own. Alone, it evens out your complexion and dramatically reduces the look of imperfections. I’ve got large pores on my cheeks next to my nose and this disguises them wonderfully. It leaves a smooth matte finish, which is not my favourite, as I prefer a dewy finish. This will lead me to not repurchase but that’s just a personal choice. The reason ive not given it 5 stars is the price. I think it’s an overpriced product as there are other equally good blurring and pore filling primers on the market for a lot less.

Love this product as my new light version "foundation"

I purchased this primer after reading positive reviews on LF, checked it myself and fell in love with it immediately. I am not a morning person, usually rushing to work having no make up on or applying it on the go and this product is a massive time saver for me. It can be applied almost like cream, with no sponges or brushes, and is now my mandatory bag accessory which I frequently use instead of the foundation, especially when my skin looks quite ok but just needs balancing the colour and surface. The product is of light beige shade and mousse-like texture but blends on the skin very naturally, evens out skin colour differences and most importantly masks pores, which is really important for me as mine are big and visible, and normal make up does not cover them. This primer can be used under make up and sometimes I use it this way, but I do prefer to use it on its own and look more natural with just putting mascara on my eyelashes. The only things to note, be careful when squeezing it out of the tube, shake the product down so that the air does not fill the tube near the outlet to avoid "splashing out" the product all over. Also, make sure you blend it well as occassionally an appearance of rolling out may occurr while applying but never noticed when I wear it. Due to mousse texture, I also recommend good cleansing in the evening, which I do anyway. If you look for a lighter alternative of the foundation, give it a try, there is a chance it will be your best match.

Perfect for very dry skin

I suffer from extremely dry skin and was recently diagnosed with atopic dermatitis which means that my skin gets easily irritated by the cold weather, low humidity etc. and maintaining it hydrated takes a lot of time and effort. Due to this, it is incredibly difficult to find a product that looks natural on my face and doesn't reveal all the dry patches that sometimes won't go away especially on my forehead. I am not a big fan of foundations due to this and I am mostly trying to find moisturizing, tinted primers that practically serve as a foundation to me as two-three layers of anything heavy is too much for my skin. The Elizabeth Arden primer was a total life-saver - the texture is something I have never, ever felt before - it blends so perfectly and you would not guess in a million years that I actually have any product on my face. In my case, it can serve as a light to medium coverage depending on the amount I use based on the occasion and I am so happy to have found my perfect match. I simply love it and the price is more than reasonable for the job this product does
