A hint of black
This is a nail tint and is sheer. It does look good over bright colours to mute the shade.

bought for a friend
I actually hadn't read the decription properly and thought this was just a black nail varnish. I bought this for my friend for her birthday. Make sure to read the description as it is not a black nail varnish, but is a veil to put on top of other nail varnishes. She loved it as she had a nail varnish that she didn't like, and this veil has transformed the colour into something she loves, so it worked out really well!

Wash of colour
I really enjoy this item. It is a wash of colour, so don't expect it to be a solid colour as that's not what it's intended for! Used alone or as a top coat over another colour. I use it alone, for a subtle grunge look. Longevity isn't great, it does chip easy. But still it's now my go to! Perfect for me who doesn't love painted nails but I'm enjoying this!

No, no, no
If I could have given this product no stars I would have. Did not like this product at all glad I got it at reduced price would have been disappointed if paid full price. Would definitely not recommend. Very patchy even with a few coats and I used as a top coat over other products.

Great nail tint, gives lovely wash of colour over other shades, not meant to be full coverage and perfect for what I wanted

Am I too old for this????
I really thought long and hard about this purchase. I used to love black nail polish when I was younger, my mother thought it looked dreadful. Ha ha But this is really light and if you apply it on top of red polish you get a very similar shade to the cult rouge noir

Something a little different
To clarify, this is a tint not a black nail varnish as I can see reviews saying they were disappointed - Tint is in the name! I like that this helps darken any colour by just putting a thin layer on top of your normal coat - something a little different and works!

okish tint
I knew this is not a nail polish (so dont expect 1 or 2 layers as full coverage) but rather a tint. To be honest works quite nice over another nail polish (like a different color underneath).

This is NOT a nail polish
This is maybe a top coat. It takes 8 layers to get black nails, and I guess nobody has a time for that. Really dissappointing!

Great varnish but needs a load of coats
It’s beautiful and shiny like gel and seems quite robust but it has taken me nearly 7 coats on each hand to get it to remotely look black and I’m still not convinced it’s a true deep black
