La Roche posts retinol treatment

A little goes along way. I’ve been using for a couple of weeks now, and my sensitive skin has felt fine using this treatment. My skin feels softer, still waiting for results to show on my fine line and wrinkles.

It’s works like magic

I am on my third tube and I must say... I love it. My face is smoother and acne free. I would advise not to you use it close to the mouth at all.

Didnt do anything

1

Didn't feel any improvement in my skin, in fact the opposite, my skin is duller and i can see more clearly some redness and marks that I didn't see before while using a different cream. I didn't have any strong reaction to it or skin allergy , basically dullness. Quite disapointed with this product.

At Last I Dared To Try Retinol

5

I've got very sensitive and 'reactive' skin which makes every new introduction into my skin care routine kind of scary. For this reason I thought that Retinol would be something I just would have to steer clear off, even though wanting to start getting something anti age into my daily skincare. (I just turned 42 but have genetically quite good skin with regards to wrinkles and lines.) Since I trust La Roche Posay in general and have some firm favourites from them that has made a real difference; always without any adverse reactions what so ever, I thought I'd give their Redermic Retinol Treatment at least one try. Honestly not expecting too much at this stage, other than NOT having a bad reaction to somehting proven too intense for my sensitive skin, - I was pleasantly surprised after just a few weeks of use. I had some sun spots on my forehead and temples after summer and they faded away, and I also have the first emerging lines above each eyebrow that had started to deepen in the last two years. I can now already see that on one side where they were less prominent they are no longer hardly visible and on the side where they were getting quite deep they are considerably less deep and the skin in general is also a lot smoother and make up looks a lot better in that area that was becoming a bit of an issue. I've had no adverse reaction what so ever. To be fair, so far, I've been a bit careful; only using this every other day (or night), but since there's not even a HINT of redness to the skin (which will be the thing to happen like clockwork if it's not for me) and already such a visible effect I will be putting this on every day (or night) as the sunlight starts to get less harsh. I use this together with the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo (+) and the only thing I can see with thos combination is that it might pill a a bit once I go for my primer to put make up on. I'm really looking forward to seeing the more long term results and have just bought my second tube, not to run out, and without a seconds doubt.

Love this

I’ve tried a few retinol creams and really happy with this. If you have never used a retinol before then you will probably need to build up tolerance a little but I’ve been using this just a few nights a week in the evenings and have noticed a difference in my skin already

Pretty good

I use this every other night so I don't overload my skin, and mix it with a the ordinary niacinemide serum as you have to use loads if you don't have something to aid spreadability. It smells funky so be prepared for that, like it's a bit damp, but a combination of using this and kiehls vitamin c serum means I can put botox off for a while, and my 47 year old skins never been happier.

Good product.

I like the overall texture of this product. I am unable to comment on the long-term results as I have not used this long enough. However, I do think that I will be buying this as a serum in the future, rather than a cream, as I find it easier to layer up further serums / moisturisers on top. I have dry skin, and tend to apply thicker and more occlusive moisturisers as the last step of my nighttime skincare routine. I find this a bit difficult to apply over this product, as being a cream it takes longer to dry and so I feel that I am putting on the moisturiser whilst removing the retinol with my fingers whilst doing this. I find serums much easier. However, this is just my personal preference and will still give this product 4 stars. It also has a mild pleasant smell which I do not mind, by my skin tends to become sensitised after a while when using products with fragrance, and then I end up unable to use them any longer, which is a pity, particularly if it is a good product. I would suggest to La Roche-Posay to produce fragrance free versions of their products.

Love it so far!

This is my first time using retinol, I chose this product because of the low dose and because I have sensitive skin and so far I have not been disappointed!   I use moisturisers with hyaluronic acid in to make sure my skin doesn’t get dry or flake after using this and the next morning I wake up with the softest skin and my pores are visibly smaller/tighter. I’ve had no adverse reactions and my skin has got a wonderful glow.  Very pleased with this product so far (only given 4 stars as I haven’t been using it for very long) and the price is very reasonable!
