Works very well
5I have very frizzy and coarse hair and I have tried several hairoils, but none of them have worked as well as this one! I would highly recommend it.

The best
5I am so glad to use this heat glide! This product is like a magician with my very dry, unruly and curly hair. It made my hair soft, silky and shine.The whole line Smooth lock is just PERFECT!

Redken smooth lock
5I purchased this item for my sons girlfriend. She has used it several times already and it has left her with hair noticeable changes. Her hair looks soft and smooth and above all her hair can now withstand the heat used daily to straighten/curl her hair. Amazing, highly recommended.

If it ain't broke !
1Totally agree with Cassie. The old heat glide smooth down serum was far superior to the new formula. I have thick coarse short hair and swore by this product until I bought the new formula one recently. Does nothing for my hair which needs a heavy serum to provide shine protection and control.

My love affair with Redken has gone with the wind
1Purchased this to replace the heat glide formula, which I had didn't know had been updated. This formula is just too scented for me to wear. I also purchased the smooth lock stay sleek formula and was just as disappointed and has the same overwhelming stench. I have always been a huge fan of Redken products, in particular the heat glide serum which was a staple in my haircare regime, but I also used the smooth down range and the real control range. They were superior products to other products, in my opinion. These two product now result in extreme itchiness and burning on my scalp, how they expect customers to actually layer these products is mind boggling with such a scent. When formulas are updated the customer are essentially purchasing them on a trial and error basis, similar to that of a new formula. Instead of a free gift, it would be much better for customers if websites could arrange sample sizes with Redken and other brands, much more valuable to the customer than say a free eyeliner. I am back to purchasing products on a trial and error basis, at such huge expense and inconvenience to myself. Really disappointed with Redken
