Good protection
3I really love this, but I do have to careful not to use too much or it can make my hair feel greasy. I can only use it on damp hair as for some reason when I use it on dry hair it dries my hair out.

A little drying
3I don't think I could tell if this was a good heat protector or not but I do notice that if I use this several days in a row my hair seems to be drier. I do think for occasional use this is great as my hair really does look lovely and shiny although you do have to be careful not to use too much or it can ne a little heavy.
