Start applying the mascara by using the curved black fibre part of the brush at the root of the eyelashes. Use the tip of the wand to separate and coat the lashes on the outside and inner corner of the eye.
Swipe the black bristles across the lashes, pushing upwards and outwards at the same time with a gentle zig-zag type of movement. This motion will help create volume at the root that can then be stretched out to the tip of the lash.
Then use the pink side comb applicators to separate the lashes, removing any excess volume from the tip of the lash in an upwards movement to set the curl up.
For the bottom lashes, turn the mascara vertically and use just the tip of the wand and apply to the individual lashes from root to tip.

One of the best
This is my first YSL mascara but ceirtanly won't be the last. Makes my lashes curly and black, I love the effect.

Awful
I don't know if I got a "bad" one, but this is quite possibly the worst mascara I've used. I've used it a few times now to see if it would get better over time... But it's a thick, dry clumpy mess. I have quite decent lashes, but this sticks them into 4 clumps, which then dries and flakes off horribly. I've had fantastic YSL mascaras in the past, but this has totally put me off. Expensive mistake.

Best!
It's the best ever mascara for me as today. It curls nicely, lifts and defines eye lashes giving a beautiful look. It doesn't clump.

I would call this a top product
This is amazing stuff. I'm 56 and my eyelashes are longer and stronger after the first few applications. It is a staple in my beauty bag. It's goes on beautifully, has a long shelf life and looks amazing. My husband never pays many compliments. But he noticed how long my eyelashes are.

YSL The Curler mascara
The brush took a bit of getting used to but I love it now, as well as the formula! Purchased to enhance my lashes following LVL treatment and works a treat. The packaging feels super luxurious too.

Best mascara I have ever known #PERFECT
WOW...I Have really short eyelashes so I always use eyelash curlers which I still do. This mascara is perfect for every size of eyelashes. It doesn't clog up the brush design is so well developed and you only need just the slightest flick on each eyelash both top and bottom it's incredible. I have found my perfect mascara at long last. The packaging looks stylish too. I don't think I can praise this enough and a lady of a certain age it's took a while.
