Zelens Z Recovery Intensive Repair Balm 50ml

I discovered this cream 3 years ago and have never looked back. It is extremely expensive but I have very sensitive dry skin and this is the only cream I’ve found that softens, soothes and calms my skin. I wish it wasn’t so expensive as I use up one tube every 2 months. I only use this one in the evenings as I use the Zelens spf cream in the morning.

This is my favourite moisturiser. It’s nourishing, healing & perfect particularly if you suffer from sensitive skin. It’s so healing & hydrating. I love the entire brand! & this is one of my favourite products from them. 

I ordered this product after my skin became very dry and flaky after using retinol. This product advertises itself as a smoothing balm but it is anything but. After 3 days of use my skin is even worse than ever, its bright red, excoriated and desperately sore and peeling/ flaking horribly. On inspecting the ingredient list I realised this product contains Salicylic acid which is exactly what comprised irritated skin really does not need. Do not waste your hard earned money on this.

I bought this after using a sample; although the price is hefty, it delivers exceptional results. My skin has been bonkers for some time due to the hormonal rollercoaster of pregnancy and now seasonal assault by pollen. My face is blotchy and sensitive, with fragranced oils and serums causing yet more inflammation. In contrast, this balm goes on super smoothly. It doesn’t have the lightness of a gel-like texture, but it creates a soothing veil with minimum drag nonetheless. No redness or discomfort; quite the reverse, in fact, and I often react to even sensitive brands. It may leave skin with a little sheen after use, but my make-up primer glided on and I felt my pores and lines were less obvious. If you’re worried about shine, then whack it on at night.
