Finding the perfect festival fragrance doesn't always come as easy as we'd like. There are many factors at play that make sourcing your new favourite a tricky ordeal – from the notes and the dry-down to the longevity and travel capacity.

So, if you’re wondering which fragrances are the best for festival season, you’ve come to the right place. I went along to Leeds Festival to ask festival go-ers first-hand which long-lasting scents they're wearing for the weekend of fun!

Eilish by Billie Eilish Eau de Parfum

We could hardly do a Leeds Festival fragrance roundup without featuring the headliner herself! Eilish Eau de Parfum is powered by the perfect blend of warm, woody notes and subtle, fruit nuances, wrapped in a delectably sweet trail of cocoa and vanilla.

“I spritzed maybe two sprays of this fragrance onto my neck and wrists before we headed off to Leeds for the festival. Not only did I get compliments on it as we were walking round, but I could still smell it in the car on the way home at around 10:30pm. That’s 12-hour staying power – and scents don’t typically last very well on me, so I was really impressed with the potency.” – Penny, senior beauty writer

But I wasn’t the only one who fell in love with this scent’s longevity:

“I really like the vanilla notes, I love that sweet kind of fragrance from her,” says Alex, festival goer. “It stays on my skin; it lasts so long – it’s my festival go-to!”

Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’40 Hair and Body Fragrance Mist

“I’m wearing the Sol de Janeiro ’40 perfume. I like it because it has this vanilla scent to it that lasts for ages when you put it on, so it’s really good for a festival!” Bella, festival goer

Topped with decadent notes of black amber plum, Brazilian orchid and vanilla woods, this warm, sweet scent blooms into bright floral tones, settling on deep, musky accords.

Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum

“I brought the small bottle of the Jimmy Choo perfume. You can keep it in your little bag, put it on throughout the day, and it smells great!” – Chantal, festival goer

This fruity chypre fragrance is epitome of affordable luxury, featuring a contemporary, feminine blend of pear nectar, tiger orchid and patchouli to perfectly complement any festival look.

Valentino Born in Roma Donna Eau de Parfum

“I love this fragrance. It stays on for ages, I’ve had so many compliments on it – you can walk past people and they’ll just start complimenting you on the scent!” – Sophie, festival goer

Celebrating strength, joy and femininity in one timeless fragrance, Born in Roma Donna stars a floriental fusion of bergamot essence, sambac jasmine absolute and bourbon vanilla for a sweet, sensual trail that lingers on your pulse points.

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum

“I’m wearing Black Opium! It lasts quite a long time and I’ve always liked the fragrance. I wear it a lot – it’s more floral so it’s better for summer. I probably wouldn’t wear it in winter.” – Amy, festival goer

Well-loved for a reason, Black Opium pairs a jolt of black coffee and cedarwood with sensual vanilla and soft white flowers, culminating in an addictive, floral-gourmand scent that captivates the senses.

Paco Rabanne 1 Million Parfum

“I’m wearing Paco Rabanne 1 Million. It smells good – and it makes me feel happy.” – Dan, festival goer

Powered by bold, inviting notes of salt, tuberose, leather and pine, this fragrance bridges the gap between light and dark, creating a warm yet fresh cologne that lasts for longer.
