To celebrate International Women's Day we caught up with JuE Wong, Chief Executive of Olaplex as she shares with us her top tips on how to use Olaplex alongside her favourite quotes to live by and advice for women who want to work in buisness.

How do you keep yourself motivated?
I keep myself motivated by planning ahead. I have a "to-do" list in my head or sometimes I write them down. I get a sense of accomplishment as I check off all the things I am completing. I also love planning for vacation days and I made it a point to do something totally out of my comfort zone every 2 years or so. My last "adventure" was in 2019 where I completed 300 miles of the CaminoDe Santiago via Portugal with my boyfriend in 12 days. And true to my motivationtechnique, I broke the walk up with a day of R&R in Porto!
What's one quote you live by?
Professionally: Build a team so strong that no one can point out the leader.
Personally: Regrets in life are never about failures but about things you wanted to doand never did.
How does it feel to be a female CEO for one of the biggest brands in the beauty industry?
I feel very fortunate and I see leading as a privilege. I believe authority may be given because of my role but respect and trust have to be earned. As CEO at Olaplex, it gives me the opportunity to amplify our reach and influence for good. At Olaplex ourmission is to do well and do good. This is where you will see us giving back to our professional community by way of scholarships and giving back to the environment by mitigating our carbon footprint by not having secondary boxes wherever possible.
What advice do you have for women wanting to work in business?
- Play to your strengths and know what you are up against.
- Learn from your past and look ahead and around corners.
- Bring people along and pay it forward.
- Put your team before yourself and you will find yourself winning every time!
