Now that the whirlwind of last year is over, we can sit back and reminisce on the top trending beauty products of 2020. From haircare to skincare and all the tools we’ve used in-between, discover some of your most-loved favourites and new beauty luxuries you can take with you into 2021.

Haircare

Olaplex

Of course, Olaplex came in first place. The Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner Bundle helped many of us to repair damage and left us with silky smooth tresses. The Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector featuring innovative bond maintenance technology, also helped to rejuvenate and protect our coloured, damaged and fragile hair.

Kérastase Elixir Ultime L'Original Hair Oil

The Kérastase Elixir Ultime L'Original Hair Oil was another favourite as we refreshed the appearance of dull hair. The multi-use Oil can be used as a primer before hair styling or a refresher to seal the look of split ends and create an envious glow. The oil also delivers long-lasting frizz control and heat protecting, making it a must have in your routine! Simply rub 2-3 pumps of the product into your palms and apply through the mid-lengths and ends of your hair as required.

Skincare

Eve Lom Cleanser

The Eve Lom Cleanser shortly became an influencer favourite and definitely got the Insta-approval for all the right reasons. The award-winning, multi-purpose balm helps to decongest, soften and nourish your complexion, leaving you with a highly receptive base so your beauty products work more effectively. Infused with a unique blend of ingredients, the cleanser works to remove even the most stubborn makeup, leaving you with a fresh, glowing canvas.

PIXI Glow Tonic

The product that got everyone talking was the much-loved PIXI Glow Tonic. The light and nourishing toner helps to balance your complexion, revealing a radiant glow. Perfect for those who suffer from blemishes or have combination skin, the toner is powered by Glycolic Acid to gently buff away dead skin cells and impurities. The solution also helps to refine the appearance of pores and stimulates cell renewal, making it a must-have if you want to achieve a brighter, clearer canvas.

Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base

Loved by makeup artists across the globe, the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base acts as both a primer and a moisturiser to help you achieve an ultra-smooth makeup application. Not only does it smell incredible, but the best-selling formula glides effortlessly over your visage, absorbing quickly and leaving you with a veil of silky soft moisture.

Tools

Beauty Works Molly Mae X Beauty Works Curl Kit

2020 saw us all trying to recreate Hollywood curls with the Beauty Works Molly Mae X Beauty Works Curl Kit. Designed for those with long hair or extensions, the barrel allows you to create big, bounce curls from root to tip that will last until your next hair wash. The kit comes with 10 pin-curling clips and a vegan soft bristle brush so you can hold your fresh curls in place to set.

ghd Original Styler

Ghd is an iconic brand that provides us with salon-worthy looks again and again. The ghd Original Stylerallows you to create a variety of sleek and glossy hairstyles whatever the occasion. Built with smooth, floating plates for ultimate control, the straightener glides across your strands to deliver poker-straight locks or voluminous curls. Perfect for beginners or haircare fanatics, this is a must-have in your styling collection!

NuFACE Mini Facial Toning Device

Last but by no means least is the NuFACE Mini Facial Toning Device. A great way to introduce microcurrent treatment into your routine, the device helps to lift and re-contour your skin whilst reducing wrinkles across your cheeks, jawline and forehead. Safe and effective, the device is great for an at-home face lift or a boost when you’re on the move. Expect smooth, contoured skin with long-lasting results!

Cosmetics

Urban Decay Setting Spray

2020 saw our makeup lasting from dawn to dusk with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. Helping to minimise our pores and stopping our base looking cakey the setting spray gave us an impressive 16 hours of wear! It is also great at preventing foundation settling into fine lines and giving you an all-round glow.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

The Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder was another winner when it came to cosmetics. Putting a twist on normal setting powders, this powder uses reflective pearl pigments to give your skin a naturally luminous finish. With a slight touch of coverage, the lightweight formula helps to blur imperfections and set your look in place all day.

Bodycare

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

The Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream was a staple last year as the scent not only helped us reminisce of summer but it left us feeling silky smooth with plump skin. The cream works to tighten, firm and give your body an all-over younger look- everything you could want in a cream right?!

Tan-Luxe The Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops

With holidays cancelled, and the UK’s poor excuse for summer sun, the Tan-Luxe The Body Illuminating Self-Tan Drops saw us through darker days and provided us with an envious sun-kissed look. The serum is perfect to add into your daily moisturisers, lotions and oils to hydrate and tan your skin – a must-have in your beauty bag!
