With the Lookfantastic party season in full swing, we're all celebrating in style. But late nights, makeup and a selection of bad drinks takes it toll on your complexion. There is no point spending all that money on your skincare and beauty regime if you're going to ruin it with a lot of cocktails that are just no good for you.

So, we have put together our selection of the best ingredients to choose when you're selecting your drinks that can make drinking those cocktails just a little easier on your skin. We also have a great selection of the best cocktail and mocktail recipes that taste amazing but won't wreak havoc on your complexion like most.

Super Cocktail Ingredients For A Healthy Complexion

Make sure you pair your favourite ingredient with its matching beauty item to supercharge your skincare!

Strawberry

Strawberry Daiquiris, Strawberry Martinis, you all love them. Go for a drink that has minimal and fresh ingredients to minimise the amount of sugar and alcohol your skin is absorbing. Strawberries themselves however are brilliant for the skin (you can read more about why in detail here), thanks to their high Vitamin C content which perks up tired complexions (perfect for nights out!)

Follow up with the Aromatherapy Associates Overnight Repair Mask, which you can pop on when you get in from your night out and leave to work its magic. It contains Strawberry Seed Extract to brighten and restore lost hydration.

Cucumber

Cucumber's high water content makes it great for replenishing the skin with lost moisture and hydration. We regularly pop cucumber slices on our eyes, and wake up looking refreshed and awake. When taken in through the body however, cucumber can help your skin to produce collagen to keep your skin taut, firm and plumped up. Considering that alcohol can lead to wrinkles as it dehydrates you, cucumber seems a sensible option to pair it with.

You might be tired when you get in late from partying, but make sure you remove your makeup otherwise your skin will become dry and breakout in spots. The Sukin Micellar Cleansing Water is super easy to use and only needs to be swiped over the skin to remove all traces of makeup and dirt. It also contains cucumber to hydrate and protect!

Pineapple

Pineapple is super sweet, making it great to choose in cocktails as you don't need a lot of it to get your sugar fix. It is however extremely rich in Vitamin C, which helps to brighten the complexion and feed your skin with moisture. Not only that, it contains an enzyme called Bromelain which helps to help you digest your food and drink, and when you have a healthy gut, you have extremely healthy skin.

The day after the night before, apply the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel Mask, which contains 7 active ingredients, including Pineapple to gently exfoliate your skin and unclog any blocked pores. It's our post-party skincare saviour!
