Heat Rollers

Heated rollers are a great way of achieving long-lasting volume, bounce and curl in your hair.

How long should you leave heated rollers in for?

Heated rollers retain their heat for around 15 minutes. Leave them in for up to 30 minutes as they cool down to seal in the curl.

How to use heated rollers

  1. Plug in your rollers and whilst they heat up, spray your hair with a heat protectant.

  2. Divide your hair into smaller, manageable sections.

  3. Take a small section of hair and place the heated roller on the outside at the bottom. Slowly roll upwards until you reach the top and hold in place with a pin or clip.

  4. Leave in for up to 30 minutes as they cool down, then gently remove the cooled rollers.

  5. Brush out curls and fix with hairspray.

Heated rollers or curling tongs?

If you want tighter, more defined curls, heated tongs work well. However, if you want volume as well as curls then heated rollers will achieve the best results.

Types of hair curlers

There are many different styling tools you can use to curl your hair including curling wands, heated rollers, hot brushesand even straighteners.
