Brighten up

Floaty and feminine, we’re stepping into neutral territory this season. Preparing to look fresh faced and sprightly, I’ve picked out my three favourite tried and tested products that will guarantee to brighten your complexion as you get set to go nude, (ahem)!

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm:beauty-flash-balm1

I love it because… the compliments came flooding in!

For a real beauty boost, smooth over your face before applying your usual make-up but don’t rub it in. The first time I tried Beauty Flash Balm, known as a miracle in a tube, I was complimented on how nice my make-up looked (although I hadn’t done anything different). This much loved hero definitely lives up to the hype.

Benefit High Beamhigh-beam1

I love it because… it’s long wearing!

Instantly highlighting your best features, High Beam creates a gorgeous soft focus sheen with a hint of pink. It’s easy to use; a couple of dots on the cheekbone and then blend. The natural radiant glow lasted from morning through to night; I wore it walking up the aisle (as bridesmaid not bride!), and it stayed firmly put through to the last dance.

YSL Touche Eclattouch-eclat1

I love it because… too many reasons!

Not shy of a celebrity or two, Touche Eclat is a make-up artist’s secret. The luxurious packaging oozes sophistication and sophistication it delivers. A quick click of the pen and out comes the magic. Capturing the light, Touche Eclat brightens up tired eyes, fades out imperfections, eliminates shadows and helps create fuller lips (phew!)…Oh, and it blends like a dream so I pop it in my handbag for a quick touch up at any time!

Grab one of the above (or all three if you’re feeling flush!) and whatever your style this season, you’ll flourish with ethereal beauty.

Major fan of scented candles, Make Up brushes and Highlighter. I’m always on the hunt for those Holy Grail products and my dressing table is covered in more beauty products than I like to admit. As an adopted Northerner originally from Brighton, I spend most my days wondering what all this rain is about. My hair isn’t grateful for the move. Currently loving: NIOD Photography Fluid
