EYEKO Beach Waterproof Mascara
As much as I want to love this mini EYEKO Waterproof Mascara, I've crossed that fine line that sits between love & hate! Yes, this mascara does what it says on box, but it does it TOO WELL....and that's all it does well :-( I suppose it's a good thing that it didn't work miracles and give me the best eyelashes I've ever had! After the first coat I suppose I'd describe my lashes as looking 'black and basic' ...as well as seeming extra short! Regrettably I attempted to apply a second coat which made them unpleasantly thick (still short) and with completely flat/blunt ends... At this point I thought, "oh well" and reached for the miscellular water & cotton pads... ... I'll fast forward through all the miserable details of how I tried every type of makeup removing product I had (wipes, washes, liquids, creams, natural products, expensive/cheap ones, oil based, soap based...) almost an hour/eternity later I had to stop due to the fear of loosing my eyelashes! I think I managed to remove nearly all the mascara that wasn't directly stuck on to my lashes but the mascara that was in direct contact with my lashes I could only describe as it was clinging on for dear life! This is without doubt the most waterproof, 'budgeproof', smudgeproof and 'beachproof' mascara that's ever crossed my path. It wasn't until almost 48 hrs had passed that I felt like I actually had my lashes back! So it is for the fact that EYEKO was too good at what it was aiming to do... I awarded it 2*....the lowest rate I have ever given to a product I've purchased
