Where Nourished Strands Start
Shea Moisture, founded in Harlem in 1991, is the creation of two members of the Liberian Diaspora to the United States, Nyema Tubman and Richelieu Dennis. The brand is actually inspired by Dennis' own grandmother, who produced her very own shea butter in Sierra Leone way back in 1912. The contemporary brand of Shea Moisture brings the botanical traditions of West Africa to your beauty routine.
Today, the Shea Moisture range includes shampoos, conditioners, and hair masks which utilise natural ingredients in order to strengthen, care for and revitalise hair of all types. The brand is dedicated to its strong ethical principles, which include not testing on animals and using ingredients only from sustainable sources with fair trade policies in place. Shop for Shea Moisture haircare and know that your money is supporting a responsible brand and hard-working farmers.
