A featherlight face cream enhanced with SPF25 protection, Clinique’s Sheer Hydrator delivers long-lasting moisture. The cream instantly refreshes and quenches the skin’s thirst, and defends against environmental aggressors that can contribute to premature skin ageing.
An aloe bioferment and a HA Complex work in synergy to help hydrate the skin and encourage a plumping effect, while provitamin D protects the skin barrier function. The opaque cream blends into the skin with a glowing appearance, its smoothing properties creating the perfect canvas for makeup application.
Start in the center, applying at the highest points, where the sun hits first. Pat or massage outward, covering your entire face. Pat or massage in until fully sheer.

Moisturising with the benefit of SPF
I usually use the standard moisture surge cream, which I absolutely love. However, I have been looking for a cream which has the added benefit of an SPF and thought this was worth a try. The consistency is thicker than the standard moisture surge, and it has a slight smell of sun lotion to it. The cream doesn’t rub in quite as easily, although there is no white cast or pilling under makeup. I have combination skin and it does feel a little greasy initially, but once my makeup is on it feels okay and I don’t go shiny throughout the day. Overall, I would say that this cream is a good option for those wanting the addition of an SPF, but otherwise I’d stick with the standard moisture surge cream.

Not tried the original but this is great and offers some SPF which is useful from a everyday cream as you know your starting with some protection. The texture is luxurious yet rubs in well with no white cast will be a staple in my routine now

New product, not for me !
I currently use the Clinique Superdefense Moisture Gel, I saw this new Clinique product with a high SFP and wanted to give it a try as has the hydrator included. The cream is heavy and after using for just over a week, had to stop as unfortunately for my skin it is too rich and gave me some spots. Just ordered another Superdefense to use in the Summer months. Will not buy again.

My new moisturiser
It's generally a good bet that I'll like any Clinique skincare product, 99% of the time they don't cause my skin to react/breakout (I have sensitive combination skin), what's not guaranteed is whether I'll love the product. I've tried moisturisers with SPF before but have found they tend to clog my pores, cause breakouts, and/or create the dreaded "shiny" face. This hasn't done any of these things for me. I've used this moisturiser for a few weeks now (long enough for a reaction/breakout to have occurred if it was going to) and I love it. Its my new go-to moisturiser. My skin looks and feels more hydrated (without being shiny), softer, and just healthier in general.
