Very poor!! Waste of money!!!
I purchased this shampoo thinking that it would be better than the normal priced ones you get at local shops. This shampoo does not detangle your hair!! It does the opposite. After washing and conditioning my hair with this particular brand it took me half an hour to brush my hair!! My hair was so tangled its unreal!! So much hair fell off too. I never used it again.. it went straight in the bin after my first use. Very disappointed.

Not good
I have fine curly hair that tangles quickly and was excited to use this product. I have used around 15 different shampoos and conditioners and never had such bad results as this. I don't know why this didn't work for me but here's my experience; I used the giovanni smooth as silk shampoo and conditioner for three weeks, twice a week, and I found that instead of making my hair soft it made it much coarser. But worse, it left my hair with build-up, so my first and second-day hair looked flat and coated with a wax-like substance. This was the first time my hair ever looked like this. I kept using it because I didn't want to believe it was the shampoo and conditioner. I tried using a random shampoo instead of this product and my hair returned back to normal, soft and non-greasy. So it was 100% this giovanni shampoo and conditioner. After three weeks using it I had to trim 4cm off my hair because it seriously dehydrated my hair. Also, this might be minor for some but the bottle is absolutely ridiculous. After three uses it was excruciating to squeeze any product out due to the shape of the bottle. Maybe it just didn't work for me as it seems to have great reviews. :(

Giovanni Smooth As Silk
What a joy this product is and for once Smooth As Silk really is smooth as silk. Best shampoo I have ever used for my child. His hair is long and curly and it detangles it with minutes., leaving it soft and manageable. I have just discovered this shampoo, after trying many, many different shampoos over the years and at last I have found the answer in this. I love this product and I will only be using this from now on. I am looking forward to trying the conditioner and then I think I will have the perfect combination. Thank you Giovanni ECC Chic Hair Care for creating this shampoo that actually does what it says. Excellent product, cannot recommend it highly enough. Good price as well and simple elegant attractive packaging. Finally a product that got it right on every level.
