Expensive, But Worth It!
I have super oily, acne prone, Very prone to blackheads, sensitive, skin. And my face loves this stuff! When I bought my first tube to try, I had been using my same old face wash for about 12 months or more. I'd also had a really sore chest for about 2 months. Like something was burning my skin. I just couldn't figure out what. It was only when I started using the Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser, that my chest suddenly healed within a few days. I actually think it may have been a bit of retinol that had managed to get from my chin to my chest. That had started off the problem with my chest. But what I hadn't realised was that my old face wash must have been preventing my chest from healing. I now have great skin on my face and chest. This cleanser has never given me acne or blackheads. And never makes my face feel tight. I Love It!

Allergic reaction
I tried it for the first time, my facial skin turns red within an hour and developed a contact dermatitis rash the next morning. My other routine has not changed and i’ve never been allergic to anything else from other skin care i use, my routine is very simple, and cheaper products. I think the suspect for me from this cleaner could be the Rosemary leaf extract. While the cleanser has a very nice creamy feeling which I love, but sadly it contains allergens. It has a strong perfume too.

The reviews in here complaining about the smell are so overdramatic it's funny. It has a veeery subtle smell and it doesn't smell bad AATTT all.. and I don't even like goat's cheese or goat's milk. The cleanser is super delicate on your skin and doesn't leave it dry like many other cleansers. Wish it was a bit cheaper, I have tried over 40 different cleansers and this one is my absolute favorite.

Smells Horrendous
We have to talk about this - I am convinced this is a ploy to see what horrors will sell if you put a high end band name on them. The smell is bad. I’m astonished by reviews saying it smells good. It’s literally a sour smell, like when milk has gone off, or, well, goat’s cheese I guess! I realise that it is a goats milk cleanser, but I didn’t expect a cheesy whiff all over my face. Oh, and it stayed there to until I washed it off thoroughly. I went to bed, my bf was grossed out by it, and I had to go wash my face all over again - and this was even after toner, serum and moisturiser. That smell permeated the lot! Gotta say, I will never buy KS again after this stunt - there’s too many other good quality brands out there to choose from which don’t leave you smelling like a dairy farmer’s day 3 dungarees. Needless to say, I did not use it a second time.

I got a smaller size in the Advent Calendar last year. It has a unique scent, which I don’t like so much. However, it’s a very good second cleanser for the face, it cleanses and hydrates the skin very well. I had some dry patches on my face, and it hydrated that much, that it almost disappeared for the next morning. So if you have dry or very dry skin, I highly recommend trying it. I have oily skin, but it didn’t make my skin oily.
