Curls with Staying Power
When you want bounce that lasts long past the first coffee, curling tongs are the simplest way to shape it. A clamp holds each section against the heated barrel for even tension from root to tip. A clipless curling iron or wand lets you wrap hair by hand instead, for a softer, more lived-in wave.
Barrel size shapes the result. Slim barrels around 19mm create tight, defined ringlets, while barrels from 32mm upwards give loose, glossy waves with plenty of volume. Tapered barrels sit in between, building curls that are fuller at the root and finer at the ends. Adjustable heat settings mean fine hair can be styled gently while thicker hair gets the extra warmth it needs.
Pick from salon-favourite tools by ghd and BaByliss, then prep with a heat protection spray before every session. Let each curl cool in your palm before you release it so the shape lasts far longer.
