5What can I say?? AMAZING!! before this I was using a pair of £30 babyliss straighteners and they don't come close. These are a game changer... my hair has never looked so silky smooth. Unbelievable.

Amazing
5Wow what an awesome product. Inside the box you get a little bottle to fill with water for easy filling of the straighteners. (As it is obviously steam activated). The actual straightener has a removable comb on it. Ideal for using when straightening but removing when you want to curl. Your hair glides easily down the plates, no catching. 3 temperature settings to choose from. I have fine hair so use the lowest at 180’. My hair was left shiny and smooth, no frizz and it was really easy to use as the cord was rotatable. Loved it!

not great for fine hair
2I have fine hair but lots of it. The idea for this tool is great but it’s still got a long way to go to be perfect. It catches and rips my fine hair very easily, even with the brush attachment removed. The design of the device itself definitely needs improving. It’s a shame because I like the way it leaves my hair feeling, which is much shinier and healthier than using regular heated straighteners. I think if you have thick, coarser hair and are looking for something to use daily that won’t make your hair feel as damaged then this could be perfect. It also says you can use this to wave hair– I can wave my hair with regular straighteners fine but found that the steampod doesn’t really work for this. The device itself isn’t too heavy which is good, I expected it to be much heavier. Overall I wouldn’t recommend as it definitely needs revisions to make this product safe for use on finer hair without causing further damage.

Hair is so so smooth!
5The combination of the built in comb and the steam seemed to make my hair so soft and shiny, normally straighter a make my hair feel frazzled. Took a while to get used to it and make sure I went in the right direction. Great for looser curls too as the barrel is wide! Love it!

Exactly straighteners

Perfect for coarse hair
5I have previously purchased the steampod 2.0 and loved it due to how much more effective it was on my thick coarse hair than my previous ceramic heat straighteners. The 3.0 is an improvement even on my last set, glides smoothly as long as you have the comb facing the correct way and a quieter set than before. Highly recommend!

Easy to use
5Wavy hair straightens in one pull unlike other brands I’ve used. Keeps frizziness at bay and reduces heat damage.

To steam or not to steam!
4I was very excited to use this product as straightening irons have always been the items I use. I have a natural wave to my hair which is at the back and can be really difficult to get straight. I found that the steam pod 3 did make all of my hair straight lasted a long time over several days i didnt need to restrainghten and made my hair feel soft smooth, however I did need someone to do this for me as I struggled as the steam pod is a lot bigger and steam at time burnt my fingers, other than this I had no issues. I used the steam pod on my daughter's hair however she asked me not to use this after a couple of times as she has very fine hair and she felt that it was "ripping" through her hair and was worried that damage may be caused, this was due to the steam pod having a comb element on it which for me with extremely thick hair was not an issue and did help to seperate and straighten hair.
