A unique powder that activates upon contact with water, Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant releases papain, salicylic acid and rice enzymes that micro-exfoliate, leaving skin smoother and brighter.
Formulated with a skin brightening complex of aspergillus, grapefruit and liquorice that help to balance uneven skin pigmentation, Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant also uses a super smoothing blend of green tea, ginkgo and colloidal oatmeal that helps calm skin, leaving it extraordinarily clear and refreshed.
Directions of use:
- Dispense half a teaspoon of Daily Microfoliant into very wet hands and create a creamy paste by rubbing hands together.
- Apply to face in circular motions, avoiding the eye area.
- Massage gently for one minute, then rinse thoroughly.
- Follow with Multi-Active Toner or Soothing Protection Spray and your prescribed Dermalogica moisturiser.

I loved this product at first - within 48 hours of first use, my skin was GLOWING and I got lots of compliments. But gradually, I began to break out. I was using another new product, so I stopped using them both. Then once my skin cleared up, I decided to slowly reintroduce products. I started with this one, and within five days, I had blocked pores all over my forehead with whiteheads, cheeks and jawline. I spoke to the dermalogica team, who said I wasn't getting the product foamy enough. So I took another break from the product. After a week, I tried again, making sure it was really really really foamy - and the next morning I woke up with another swollen, sore, blocked pore on my forehead (with 3 whiteheads). I haven't used it again since, but the next day after that, I woke up with two HUGE swollen cystic spots on my jaw line - they're so painful I can't bend over to pick anything up as they just throb, and I can't lie on that side of my face. Dermalogica advised to stop using immediately.

Positive Thoughts
I used this product around 15 years ago and it really worked, especially with my sensitive and greasy skin. At the time this was a considered purchase for me and I think this is why I stopped using it. Over the years i have tried numerous face scrubs, all of which have irritated my skin. I saw the deal on LF and thought I'd give it a go again. Have been using only for two weeks hence the 4 score. So far no irritation and it does not dry out my skin. Would recommend especially for sensitive skin. I find using every day as advised is best.
