Named after its home region in France, Avène is a French skincare brand that has a long history dating back to the 18th century, when the first Thermal Spring Water baths welcomed patients with dermatitis, eczema and other skin conditions to bathe in the rejuvenating waters of the region's natural hot springs. Avène products have been developed and bottled by the Avène Dermatological Laboratories since 1990, and by 2007 the brand was available in over 100 countries around the world.
