When using for the first time, let the candle burn until the entire surface is liquid (about 2 to 2 1/2 hours). This prevents the formation of a cavity and a deposit on the sides of the glass. Regularly cut the wick to about 0.5 cm to 1 cm to prevent the candle from smoking, and straighten and re-centre it, while the wax is still melted. Use a Candle Lid to prevent black smoke and preserve the fragrance.

Beautiful candle
I managed to purchase this candle with around a 50% discount. I love Goutal fragrance anyway so got this while I could. It’s beautiful, from the glass holder to the scent, not too strong or intrusive like some scented candles can be, but also scented enough that you can tell it’s lit, or has been recently. The only negative has been that it hasn’t burned very evenly, even though I’m careful with it, but it’s not terrible and my overall opinion is that I’m really loving it! Beautiful scent and presentation.
