You won't believe how easy it is to achieve glass-like skin. Hi, my name is Joe from The Ordinary, and today we're going to talk to you about what glass-like skin is and how you can achieve it. I feel like glass-like skin is all around us; I see it all over social media. But what actually is it? When we talk about glass-like skin, we refer to the skin being really smooth, even-toned, and radiant, providing that really glowy, dewy finish that looks like glass. Many factors contribute to glass-like skin, with some main ones including hydration to help plump the skin, giving that smooth finish, and exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and reveal smoother skin underneath. Removing dead skin cells allows light to reflect evenly, giving the appearance of radiant and glowy skin. Cosmetic products like oils or rich creams can also provide a glowy, dewy finish. Ingredients that help achieve glass-like skin include niacinamide, which targets uneven skin tone, reduces excess shine, and supports the skin barrier while hydrating the skin. Hyaluronic acids are excellent for hydrating and plumping, as they help retain water in the skin. Exfoliators like lactic and glycolic acids help remove dead skin cells, providing a more radiant and even appearance.
