Step 1: Skin Prep
Prepping skin is a crucial step for every makeup look which many of often forget to add to our routine. It gives the face nourishment and radiance before our glass-look makeup is added.
“Full skincare should be applied before you start to apply the products needed for a glass skin,” explains Cherelle. “Skin prep is essential for any makeup look/technique. As you can see in my video, I used my moisturiser as one of the steps as it gives the skin the hydration that it needs as well as the light reflecting glow for a glass skin.”
Cherelle's top tip?
“Moisturiser should be applied all over, massaging the product into the skin until it disappears. I like to apply most of my products with fingers. It will ensure that all the products used are blended into the skin well.”
Step 2: Primer
Priming the face before makeup ensures skin has a smooth, even base for your foundation to sit on, as well as enabling the glass makeup look to last longer on the complexion.
“Radiance Primer can be applied in all the areas where you want the light to bounce off the skin. I specifically concentrate on the high points of my face first, then distribute what's left evenly into my skin.”
But how does this primer give us that glass skin illusion?
“A radiance-boosting complex instantly revives skin. The soft pearlescent finish reflects light for immediate radiance. Plus, the broad-spectrum SPF is a great way to protect your skin.”
Step 3: Blush
Blusher helps bring your complexion to life, bringing a natural, rosy flush of colour to the apples of your cheeks. But to really get that glowy finish your heart desires? Switch up your usual powder blush to a dewy, liquid formula:
“Afterglow Liquid Blush [helps to] plump the cheeks bones as well as giving a light-reflective glow to the skin. This blush gives you an instant wet, radiant look. Sodium hyaluronate provides 8 hours of hydration, and vegan collagen adds to that plump, healthy glow.” Cherelle also reveals her favourite technique: “I prefer to apply this before foundation for a natural, radiant finish.”
Step 4: Foundation
Foundation acts as the perfect skin-perfecting base, minimising the appearance of imperfections for a flawless finish.
“Use as little as one pump of our Light Reflecting Foundation to even out the centre of the face. [Blend with] your fingers for a skin like finish,” shares Cherelle Lazarus.

Step 5: Conceal
Using a concealer is the most effective way to cover imperfections and help give your glowy, glass-makeup look a seamless finish.
