3 ways to use the Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation

Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation is a cult classic in the industry, with a bottle appearing in everyone’s makeup bag at least once in their lives.

Although the formula dries down to a matte finish to keep in place, did you know you can mix it with other Estée Lauder makeup products to get a gorgeous glow?

We enlisted the help of Emma Tillman, Estée Lauder UK Pro Makeup Artist, alongside Beauty Set member Emma Jenkins to learn more.

Foundation + Primer = Subtle Glow

  1. Apply the Estée Lauder Illuminating Primer all over the face before foundation.
  2. Apply the Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation onto the skin using the Foundation Brush.
  3. Tap the Illuminating Primer onto the high points of the face for a strobe-like effect. It helps to make the foundation look less matte without compromising on coverage.

Foundation + Advanced Night Repair Serum = Dewy Finish

  1. Mix 2 drops of the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum with the Double Wear Foundation.
  2. Blend onto the face, working from the centre out.
  3. Tap the ANR Serum onto the high points of the cheekbones for an extra dewy glow.
  4. Brush through the brows for a polished and pulled-together finish.

Foundation + Colour Correcting Duos = Flawless Cover

  1. Use the Estée Lauder Colour Correcting Duos to minimise the appearance of redness, dark circles and pigmentation. Green reduces redness, Peach conceals dark circles and Yellow helps to brighten. Pat into the skin using the Estée Lauder Foundation Brush.
  2. Apply the Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation on top and blend in using the same brush from the previous step.

Skincare Specialist

I am a big believer in the idea that beautiful Make Up begins with a superb skincare regime. I like to enhance my natural beauty rather than cover up and I am always on the lookout for great products which really work. When I am not writing about all things beauty, I like to do Yoga and I make an amazing brownie. It is all about balance!
