Step 1: Cleanse
Deeply purify your hair and scalp using the Kérastase Curl Manifesto Bain Hydratation Douceur Shampoo. Designed especially for curly and coily hair, the formula effectively removes dirt and build-up whilst softening strands without weighing them down. Apply a coin size amount of product to your hands and evenly distribute across the hairline, nape of the neck and all through the lengths of the hair. Massage the shampoo in gently, following the shape and direction of your curls to avoid causing any unwanted tangles or twists. Rinse out and repeat before towel drying the hair.
Step 2: Nourish
Add deep nourishment to the hair with the Kérastase Curl Manifesto Masque Beurre Haute Nutrition Mask. Enriched with manuka honey and ceramides, the powerful formula fights against breakage and leaves curls feeling softer and looking bouncier. Work the Mask into the mid-lengths and ends of your hair and leave for five minutes. The multi-benefit Mask also works as an amazing de-tangler so use your fingers as a comb to get rid of any knots whilst you apply. Push the curls up to encourage the natural curl pattern then rinse out and towel dry.
Step 3: Prep
Prep and protect your hair before styling using the Kérastase Curl Manifesto Crème De Jour Fondamentale Leave-In-Cream and Curl Manifesto Gelée Curl Contour Gel-Cream. Not only do they help to encourage hold and enhance your natural curl pattern, the formulas also offer heat protection up to 230°C and guard against 80% humidity, helping to prevent unwanted frizz and flyaways. Apply the lightweight, cream formulas using the rake method, pushing the curls together to ensure even distribution and prevent tangles.
Step 4: Coil
Top up your shine and hold with a small amount of the Curl Manifesto Gelée Curl Contour Gel-Cream before using your fingers to twist coils into each strand of hair, twisting it from top to bottom. Repeat this process across your whole head so that you're left with tight coils from root to tip.
Step 5: Diffuse
Using a diffuser head, gently dry the hair from underneath using a medium heat and medium power to avoid any unwanted frizz. This technique encourages the hold and shape of your curls, increasing bounce and body.
Step 6: Separate
Using your fingers, separate each of the coils you created gently. This will add extra body and dimension to the hair to give you that full and glamourous finish.
Step 7: Define
Add further volume and definition to your curls with the Kérastase Curl Manifesto Refresh Absolu Spray. The leave-in spray works to boost shine and smooth strands, helping to keep frizz at bay. Ultra hydrating, the spray can also be used in between washes to revive your curls. Spritz generously all across the hair, making sure to catch every layer.
Step 8: Style
Deeply part the hair on one side of the head to create even more lift and body, leaving the majority of the hair on one side. Secure the lighter side of the hair with grips, adding them around the ear in an arch shape for a jewellery like effect.
