I bought this base coat with the essie gel couture set and have been so surprised. I never normally use a base coat as I didn’t understand the purpose but I totally understand now and will never use polish without it now!  This base coat provides strength and protection for nails and aids with healthy growth and I have found my nails to grow faster and stronger and my nail polish to last for longer too (approx 2 weeks without any signs of chipping!)
