Excellent budget hair dye

I have mousy hair, so I do my own highlights with bleach first, then apply the blonde 9 shade a week or so later to tone my hair and cover my roots. It has a strong chemical smell and can itch a little (as all blonde dyes do) but it covers my greys and lightens my roots effectively. It looks quite muddy and dark for the first couple of washes, but then softens to the perfect shade for me. Just don't leave it on too long!!
