Excellent primer
4I love this primer. I often find that once you’ve applied serums and moisturisers that primers don’t really work, but this one does. It’s good at smoothing out your skin and slightly blurring lines and texture. I’ve noticed my foundation does last longer with this primer. Overall it’s really good, it’s expensive but you do get a good quantity for the money.

Does what it says and blurs…
3Not the best primer I’ve used under make up… you need a lot more product to blend and cover face compared to other primers. But one thing it is better at is blurring the appearance of pores and fine lines… to the extent that I’ll happily wear this with no makeup

Do not recommend
1I don't usually leave reviews (I never reviewed anything online), but this one forced me to. I am so upset that I've spent that much money on this primer. I usually buy Smashbox primer, but they stopped selling it in the UK, so decided to try something new. This is NOT it. It dries the skin so fast, even after applying layers of serum and moisturiser. Neither concealer nor foundation sit well on it. It left my face blotchy, with weird streaks, and very flaky. Avoid at all costs. Definitely do not recommend.

Incredible!!
5An amazing product….made my pores magically disappear and not once did I have to powder my t zone during the day….glides on and leaves you with a matt yet glowing face…. I’d actually cry if they EVER discontinue this….

Amazing primer
5This was used on me at a self use make up course. The lady was struggling to find something that gave me a really good finish. She used a different primer first and it started to crack so then she went out and brought this to try on my second look and honestly it made a total difference, it is amazing on your skin. It really blurs your pores and gives your skin a airbrush finish. After I went and brought it myself and used it every time I wear make up. I would even just wear this with no make up to reduce the size of my pores when natural.

Did not fit the bill!
1This product smells nice and has a very silky texture on application. That's where the positives end. It has the gall to highlight all my pores when it ought to be doing the exact opposite - they actually looked worse! It's terrible for my skin which is very healthy but leans towards being slightly dehydrated. I did not think skin type would come into this but as per another reviewer with oily skin for whom it worked I wonder if one needs a seborrhoeic skin for this to perform its duties. If that's the case then they really should have written it on the description!! I'm very disappointed as this was my first Laura Mercier purchase and I had heard good reviews.

Terrible
1Considering this a blurring primer it’s the worst one I’ve ever used in my life. It highlighted pores beyond belief, made my under eye look an extra 30 years. And to top that, my foundation was patchy. I literally cannot believe how awful it was considering it’s laura mercier. I’m 42, my skin is in pretty good condition. Maybe the others in the range are good, better, but I won’t be spending money to try them.
