Super affordable, High Quality
5I didn't start out as a lipstick person which is why I was so hesitant in trying out liquid lipsticks since all the reviews I heard about them kept saying that they are not really for beginners and that they are quite tricky for people who aren't used to wearing makeup (read: me). I was also hesitant in buying this range because they're all nudes and I wasn't really into nudes until I decided that I needed a more day-to-day wearable lip-something for work. I decided to purchase Nyx products after doing A LOT of YouTube research into lipsticks - nude lipsticks. I am also very familiar with the brand as I own quite a lot of eye products and am SUPER happy with them. I decided I really want to review products that I buy because when trying to decide what I want to purchase, it always irks me to see that there aren't enough reviews. Caveat - these aren't the only lipstick products I bought. Shades Bought: 1) Bedtime Flirt 2) Exotic 3) French Maid 4) Cabaret Show Favourite Shade: Can't pick! Application/Packaging - 4/5 Ok so as I said before, I was warned about liquid lipsticks being very tricky to apply, yet I still decided to go with them because they last a very long time. I also said that Nyx isn't the only brand I ventured into, therefore I have a pretty good idea of how the application process varies from brand to brand. The applicator is a long straight doe-foot which makes the application a little tricky (especially when I am applying it in the morning before having my coffee). There have been a few times where the application was a little wonky, but nothing I couldn't fix. I guess it would be a lot easier if I used a lip liner, but I hate them so I don't use them. You just need to practice a little with the applicator. I gave it 4/5 because the more I practice, the better I get yet it would have my life a lot easier if they just had a curved doe-foot applicator hence the loss of one star. Shade - 5/5 The shades are amazing (hence why I can't pick a favourite). I have been complimented on all the shades and they go with a lot of make-up looks that I have tried out. The range is really good for someone with fair skin (like me). However, I have seen swatches on different skin tones and they still look amazing (even the lighter colours which can sometimes be hard to pull off with any skin tone). Texture - 4/5 Applying the lipstick can be tricky but the texture upon application is really nice. It starts out quite velvety and then dries down to a matt. Once the lipstick has completely dried down, it doesn't feel as if you're wearing anything. However, after a few hours (no touchups) the texture does feel a little crummy (though this is the case with a LOT of lipsticks, both liquid and traditional). Wearability - 5/5 I have never had to touch up on this lipstick any time that I have worn it. When I wear it to work, it lasts from 6am (upon application) to 4pm (when I go home and wipe it off. It endures countless cups of coffee, without leaving a stain on my mug, drinking a couple of litres of water through a metallica straw and, on occasion, drinking coca cola out of a bottle, eating a protein bar, munching on countless snacks and eating a light salad with no dressing (this has more to do with not wanting to ruin my clothes rather than not wanting to ruin my makeup). However, the lipstick has endured the Easter feast where a lot of wine and oily food was consumed. I may only have worn it through lunch (so three hours) but it would not come off. Also, I think it is worthy to note an anecdote from today. I applied French Maid on and, while I loved it and was super psyched to be wearing it, upon getting to work I realised I was not really feeling the vibe of wearing lipstick (me being weird) so I tried to take it off. Holy Guacamole was it hard - I made my lips bleed. I didn't have make-up remover on me nor anything oily so there was NOTHING to help me remove it. I find got rid of it by SCRAPING it off... my lips do not love me today. You have to wait a couple of minutes for the lipstick to dry down to its matt consistency, but once it does, it does not come off nor does it transfer. Price - 5/5 Nothing can beat this range for someone who is looking for quality and affordability. The range is AWESOME and, after trying a few liquid lipsticks and being super happy with them, this line does not disappoint in ALL aspects. Should you buy it? In one word, yes. I recommend looking at swatches first to see which one you want to get (after today's episode, I really applaud all makeup bloggers who swatched this line because their lips must have hated them that day). You can buy a couple of shades and test out what you want. This lipstick makes you feel like a thousand bucks... at a super affordable price.

Beautiful colour
4This was my first nyx lip product purchase and I was fairly impressed. I chose the colour satin ribbon and it's a beautiful light pink/nude colour. Which was exactly what i was looking for. The application is great and looks lovely on as it glides very smoothly and drugs fairly quickly without over drying the lips. Downside is that it doesn't last as long as i'd like..a few hours at the most with out eating of drinking but i have perchased much cheaper matt lipsticks that have lasted all day which is a shame as id not found a shade I liked this much. I'd reccomend this product to anyone who is happy to top up throughout the day

5This is the second lipstick I buy from this Nyx collection and I LOVE IT! It looks like a cute nude lip on me, my lips are brownish pink and when it becomes matte it feels very smooth! love it

Gorgeous
5I immediately went for it, when it came on the market. The shades are so wide and perfect nude tones, perfect for everybody. The texture is drier than the Suede range but I found them creamier than the Matte lip creams. I have Corset and Satin Ribbon. Satin Ribbon is more natural, Corset is more on the lavender side. I adore them both. I have dry lips so have to be careful with them, I just apply one, very maximum 2 thin layers, but still, they have very good coverage. They last long, I was having coffee and food with them and they faded beautifully. You need a few minutes before they dry until then keep your lips open as I do. Definitely favorites.

My favourite
5I purchased this Lipstick because I love matte lipsticks in natural colours and I never tried that brand before. It was highly recommended by my friend and I was not left disappointed. It lasted a night out with some serious amount of food and not once I had to re-apply. Leaves no smudges and it doesn't dry your lips like some other brands. I will definitely buy more from that range! Highly recommended.

Make up staple
4I bought this after hearing positive things and was pleased it wasn’t expensive. The colour is flattering without looking sickly for my fair/ sometimes tanned skin. It isn’t overly drying either, unlike some liquid lipsticks. If you want a cheaper than most, wide choice of colours liquid lipstick then this is for you.
